Permission was given for Could Be The Move (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Leaving the stalls, Tamather (GB), placed third, shifted left-handed, crowding Davvy (GB), unplaced, for a number of strides causing that gelding to lose its early position, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Tamather (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 4 furlongs out, involving Tamather (GB), placed third, ridden by Hector Crouch and the winner, Hollywood Treasure (IRE), ridden by David Egan.
The interference was found to be accidental as Hollywood Treasure (IRE), had difficulty negotiating the first bend and in essence kept going straight for a number of strides rather than cornering left-handed, which resulted in Tamather (GB), which had been racing ungenerously in behind clipping its heels and stumbling.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the 2 furlong marker, involving Tamather (GB), placed third, ridden by Hector Crouch; the winner, Hollywood Treasure (IRE), ridden by David Egan; and Could Be The Move (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Kieran O’Neill.
The interference was found to be accidental as Could Be The Move (IRE) was hanging badly right-handed rounding the bend despite the rider’s best efforts to correct the filly and carried Hollywood Treasure (IRE) right- handed causing it make contact with the hindquarters of Tamather (GB), unbalancing that colt, which then resulted in Hollywood Treasure (IRE) being badly tightened for racing room between Tamather (GB) and Could Be The Move (IRE), before it then made repeated contact with Tamather (GB), which was severely hampered as a result.
