Fairyhouse Mon, 5th Oct, 2026  State Pension I’m delighted for Alistair (Spittal) and Lorraine who are over from Scotland today. They have two horses with me,. I’m delighted for the horse as well, because he’s a horse that we like a lot. He’s still a big baby ,but there is a big engine there and it’s only slowly coming to hand. He’s maturing all the time. He’s still green and he looks at things. Fair play to Jim Nolan who picked out this horse as a foal. He’s a serious judge of a horse.

Gowran Park Fri, 2nd Oct, 2026  Nelson Muntz Things just didn’t go to plan in Clonmel yesterday,. It ended up like a little bit of work for him basically the way the race went. He missed the first and was locked in in a bit of trouble. He ate and he drank last night and he was full of beans in the paddock this morning so we said we’d chance it. I’m delighted for the owner, Niall Kennelly. He’s a big supporter of mine and has been with me through thick and thin. He’s been really loyal to me. That horse has been unlucky all the way, he’s got knocked down in more races and got into bad luck. We fancied him today and it’s nice that it worked out, it doesn’t always happen.
