I'd say the blinkers made him jump that little bit quicker and snappier. The last day he never got into the race. The easier ground probably actually suited him better than real fast ground. He's won here before and that's always a help. That's Jonathan's five pound claim gone now. We weren't going to let him ride anymore after tonight to keep it for Road To Riches but it's gone now. I don't know what we'll do now. I'll have to talk to Michael (O'Leary, owner of Road To Riches).

it gives us great pleasure and it is so special to win the Cork National. The syndicate (Grand Alliance Racing Club) all drink in the Members Bar (of the Dail) and there are a few members of Fine Gael, Fianna Fail and one from the P.D.s!. Tulsa Jack fell on his first two races over fences but has been a fantastic servant and is still only six years of age. It is an incredible compliment to his great trainer that he this is our 26th winner from only four horses and his array of jockeys keeps getting better. It gives us great pleasure to do something for the bloodstock industry and to help promote the sport.

he got stuck in the ground a bit in Listowel and likes goodish ground and he stays well. Ger (Fox) gets on well with him; he jumps a bit up in the air and is careful but he knows him. He wasn't flamboyant at the last but got away quick enough. He races a bit lazy and probably doesn't want to be in front too long. He wants three miles on good ground. Ger is a good rider - he's coming on all the time, is strong and they jump well for him.
Noel Meade
I wasn't sure if he had won but Dessie (Scahill) was behind me and he said you're not beaten anyway. He looked to have a chance when he fell in Killarney and I actually fancied him tonight, I thought he had a good chance. The three mile one furlong was a big help and the smaller fences probably helped as well.

It has taken us a while to get things sorted with the horses. I have a well at home and it was contaminated. It took us a long time to discover the problem but it was an issue with the water, and I was drinking it myself! . They got sick around February and there seemed to be no sense or reason as to the way they were running. We tested and tested and eventually found the problem and we've changed wells now. Sean Boylan (former Meath football manager) also came in and gave them some herbs to help pick them up and now we've had four winners in just over a week!
