Punchestown Wed, 4th Feb, 2026  Crecora Hills It was a nice performance and a nice pot to win with her. She just seems to handle that ground well and it was nice to get another race with her. If we could find another mares chase like that it would be grand. For a few lengths before the last I thought we were in trouble, but she put it to bed very fast then. Around that trip is fine for her, I’d say, two-and-a-half or two-six.

It was very unfortunate the last day when she just jinked back from the tape. There was no badness or it was nothing to do with Sean (Flanagan) but she gave him no chance of staying on. She had been very tricky but is a different mare this year as we got an issue sorted with her last year.

Fairyhouse Sat, 13th Dec, 2025  Bally Free He’s a fine big horse. He’s a big staying chaser for next year, that’s what he was bought to be. He showed a good attitude. He definitely improved from his first run. I’d say you couldn’t get a race far enough for him. He’s a big, honest, galloping horse.

Tramore Tue, 25th Nov, 2025  Aclass going down to the last I thought Aclass could jam-on or anything, because he was going to win in Boulta one day but ran off the track. I used to ride him myself at home and him leaping around every day, but since Jordan arrived into my yard three months ago, he now rides him. I had to give him at least one go in a race. Jordan had been in America but rang me to say he was living locally and could he work for me. He works hard, is a very good rider, so hopefully gets more opportunities. Today’s win was a bonus for Aclass and while it wasn’t a very good beginners chase, he is a very good jumper and hopefully today’s win will give him confidence.

Tramore Tue, 25th Nov, 2025  Bon Viveur that was good although I was actually cursing when the hurdles were taken out because he jumps really well. He did it well.

Naas Sun, 9th Nov, 2025  Crecora Hills it was very straightforward and she jumped well. We schooled her on Friday morning and were delighted with her. She jumped very well over the five fences, she only went up over them the once but jumped them lovely. She travelled, they went steady. The drop of rain did no harm last night, we were praying for a bit of rain. Her jumping was never great from the word go. Even before she came to me I believe she got more schooling than any horse in the country. She was never a natural but it came to her. When she came to us first we did a lot of schooling with her and took a lot of time. I think she’s my fifth first-time-out winner this season since Big Debates started in September. It’s nice and we’re doing something right anyway.
