Key Royal Ascot horses could give punters 'unassailable lead' after 'bloodbath'

Signora in the Albany Stakes and Zarigana in the Coronation Stakes are the bookmakers' big liabilities on day four of Royal Ascot.

That is according to BoyleSports, who described Thursday as a "bloodbath for the bookies".

Five of the seven races on day three were won by the favourites, turning it into a nightmare day for the bookmakers.

Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: "It was a bloodbath for the bookies yesterday and with momentum firmly on the side of the punters, they’re really turning up the heat on day four.

"Signora is a significant liability in the opener, and if Zarigana goes in for France in the Coronation Stakes, punters could have an unassailable lead going into Saturday.”
