Following an inspection of the course prior to the running of the seventh race, Mr. T. V O'Connell I.H.R.B Clerk of the Course, reported to the Stewards that parts of the track had become waterlogged making it unfit for racing
Having considered Mr. O'Connell's report and viewed a recording of that area of the track, the Stewards abandoned the final race

Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight is 8st 6lbs
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
