FormscanBy Alan Magee - WESTLAND ROW looks sure to appreciate the better ground and this certainly represents a drop in class. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding shaped well on debut when runner-up in a Punchestown bumper on a sound surface, and has shown promise on a number of occasions in big field maiden hurdles including when attracting the attention of the stewards again back at Punchestown in January. Interestingly Elliott pointed out in the running and riding enquiry, which resulted in Keith Donoghue getting a four-day ban, that the gelding would appreciate a drop in class and better ground. Atlantic Breaker filled the runner-up spot a couple of times over this course and distance last year, and should benefit from a point-to-point outing at Kirkistown. Classic Place won a Largy point on good ground but has yet to race on a decent surface under rules.
