FormscanBy Alan Magee - REDCLUE was odds-on when taking advantage of a lowly rating in this race 12 months ago, and may repeat the trick albeit after a different preparation. Last year Gillian Callaghan’s charge came here off the back of a six-month break, while this time connections elected to give him a run over hurdles at Fairyhouse. He’s also won around here over hurdles, and acts well on this surface. Town Pond was third in this corresponding race last year, and reopposes on much better terms with the selection. Further encouragement can be garnered from the fact that his sole win came over a similar trip here a few years ago. Willow Grange gained a deserved win in the mud at Sligo last autumn, and comes here in good heart having filled the runner-up spot behind Presenting Julio at Tramore last time. The veteran Prosperity Square likes this ground but may just need the run after a winter break.
