Carvelas, who was fourth behind him last time, is now 7lb better off, plus Donagh O'Connor's 5lb claim, and that has to bring him into contention. Set To Fire won at Gowran last time but an 11lb rise for that looks plenty and he may find life tougher now. Rubenesque was only narrowly denied over two miles when last seen on the all-weather in May. He's only 3lb higher back on turf now and could run a big race.
