PETTICOAT looks worth another chance after failing to settle when stepped up in trip in the Oaks Trial at Naas last time. She couldn't see out the ten furlongs then having pulled hard on slower ground and conditions here should be more to her liking. She was a good winner on a sound surface at Leopardstown previously over this trip and that form has worked out well with the runner-up Belle Boyd scoring in style since. Of the Ballydoyle four Asking sets the standard and is likely to go off favourite. She ran another solid race when third at Fairyhouse last time behind two English raiders but that was over seven and that seems to be her preferred trip. She weakened markedly inside the final furlong on her last try over a mile at Royal Ascot. Valentana is a previous course and distance winner and although well held behind Asking in a handicap at the Curragh on her last outing she ran respectably in Listed company behind Brendan Brackan at Leopardstown previously. She might be capable of sneaking a place here.
