Review LEOPARDSTOWN 5TH JUN

Top-weight One Won One was a popular winner of the Listed Glencairn Stakes at a sparsely-attended Leopardstown last night.

Kevin Manning's mount, who was winning the race for the second conecutive year, went to the front entering the final furlong and was always withstanding the late surge of Mr Houdini.

'He's been a wonderful servant, and may come back here for a Group 3 for his next run,' said delighted trainer Joanna Morgan of the eight year-old, who has now earned more than #200,000 in win prizemoney.

Vinthea (8/1-6/1) showed her rivals a clean pair of heels in the straight to land a tidy gamble in the 1m premier handicap.

'She's a progressive filly, and has done very well from two to three,' said Burns, who also trained the dam Vintage Escape. 'We'll see what the handicapper does before deciding on her next run.

Bowmore showed considerable improvement from his recent debut behind stablemate Ancestor at the Curragh when making all in the opening 1m4f maiden.

'He's a big, backward fellow, and to be honest I would have been happy if he'd reached the money today. He should make a nice stayer in time,' said John Oxx following the colt's 4 1/2 length success.
