FormscanBy Tom Weekes - Last year's Group 2 winner LEO DE FURY has competed against top class horses and can now defeat younger rivals. Dropped to Group 3 company on his three starts this year, he was unable to place but nonetheless ran a solid race when meeting a little trouble in-running at Champions Weekend six days ago. A reproduction of that run could see him win on his first all-weather run. Isle Of Sark won his maiden here last November and while he has run some solid races in defeat this year, might find the selection too strong. Benaud, fourth in the Queen's Vase, was well behind Tarnawa in August and faces a tough enough task on all-weather debut. Southern Cape hasn't run for a year and while he should get today's 1m4f trip, aged three, is probably best watched on his own all-weather debut. Stour won well on debut here 15 days ago but faces a much stiffer task today.
