FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MILLINER might win this Cheltenham qualifier. MILLINER showed ability in 2018 as a novice hurdler and while he has clearly had setbacks, returned following a 762 days layoff at Navan last month. Then, he ran with promise and having seemed all-at-sea early in the home straight, finished strongly with today's step up to three miles sure to suit. Doctor Duffy, which doesn't hold a Cheltenham entry, is notable as he reverts to hurdles from fences. He finished 8L 10th of 23 on his last hurdles run in the 2020 Martin Pipe Hurdle at Cheltenham and should go well today from his 137 mark, which is 10lbs below his chase rating. Some Neck is another with a 12lbs lower hurdles mark to chase rating and while connections are surely looking towards the Cheltenham's Cross-Country race, he could qualify for the Pertemps Final today, being a proven stayer on a reasonable rating in his first ever handicap hurdle, under his 7lbs claimer. Atlantic Shore also reverts from fences from a 14lbs lower mark and while he too is more a chasing type, also contests his first handicap hurdle. Tokyo Getaway is proven at this level and has obvious claims while Lynwood Gold has raced just four times over hurdles but also contests his first handicap hurdle and should get today's three miles trip. Dallas Des Pictons was second in the 2019 Martin Pipe Hurdle and is helped by today's 7lbs claimer.
