FormscanBy Michael Graham - THE ABBEY can build upon his only other crack at fences when runner-up in a beginners' chase at Downpatrick in August. He attempted to make all, on good ground, and was caught inside the final furlong as he finished second. He was well clear of the third, though, and that horse gave the form a boost by winning a beginners' chase in Tramore by 14 lengths. Ozzie's Way has been placed in his last two chases and is well capable of a bold show on this better ground. Something Sweet is entitled to get in the mix off bottom weight. Aprils Joy hasn't had much fortune in her two beginners' chases - she had a slipped saddle when third in Kilbeggan and was brought down in Sligo. Paul Townend is an eye-catching booking and her chance is respected. She is a former point-to-point winner.
