FormscanBy Michael Graham - ERINS BENEFIT should be all the better for her first crack at hurdling when third in Listowel. The Beneficial mare trounced her rivals in a ladies’ bumper on testing ground at Bellewstown in August. She was then pitched into a mares’ maiden hurdle at Listowel and moved through the field before a mistake at the second last saw her effort peter out. One of her main rivals in this assignment, Walking Fame, was six lengths behind her in fourth in that Listowel race. She is also a bumper winner, from Downpatrick last month. The daughter of Fame And Glory has had three goes at hurdling and there is no obvious reason why she should turn around the form. Perhaps Class Bishop Lady will be a bigger threat on jumping debut. She started her career with a third in a good mares’ bumper at Down Royal and was then a beaten favourite in third in a Tramore bumper.
