FormscanBy Alan Magee - GHAIYYATH is a perfect four from four this year and will be difficult to beat over his favourite trip. The son of Dubawi has a tremendous cruising speed which proved too much for Enable in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown, and the five-year-old appeared better than ever last time when storming home by three lengths from Magical in the Juddmonte International at York. Magical is a model of consistency and has won six times at Group 1 level including this prestigious event 12 months ago. Japan was a highly progressive colt last year winning the Grand Prix de Paris and the International at York but hasn’t quite reached those heights this season. Sottsass, winner of the French Derby and third in the Arc last year, gained further Group 1 glory this term over an extended ten furlongs in the Prix Ganay.
