Ben Coen reported that the Lope De Vega gelding was keen on his return from a lengthy enough absence and the vet found him to be blowing hard post race so he may just have done too much first time back. He had won a competitive handicap at the Curragh last September and off a mark of 101 sets a fair standard in this conditions event. Blue For You is next best on official ratings and could be a danger in first time blinkers. The New Approach gelding disappointed at Galway last time but had been a game winner at Leopardstown previously. Ballydoyle colt Forest Of Dreams ran well in a rated race at Dundalk last time and the fact that he doesn't have to carry a winners penalty in this leaves him in with a shout.
