FormscanBy Tom Weekes - NEW YORK ANGEL showed plenty on debut at Naas last month and can win. A well-bred 115,000gns yearling purchase and Irish 1,000 Guineas entrant, she was registered in training with Joseph O'Brien prior to debuting for Johnny Murtagh last month, when she showed promise in a useful maiden, beating Ahandfulofsummers into third and Flagged into sixth. Ahandfulofsummers has a 93 rating attained following a Group 3 runner-up effort last August but might struggle to turn form with the selection today. Flagged was her yard's second-string when running well in that Naas race and shaped with plenty promise when racing a little green, and is open to vast improvement. Friendly disappointed at Fairyhouse last October but had previously shown useful form and can get involved for the placings today while Windsor Pass hung badly when disappointing as favourite in that same Fairyhouse race but still needs a career best to win. Viennese Voice is out of an unraced half-sister to a Listed winner.
