FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - El Barra burst a blood vessel when disappointing badly at Leopardstown over Christmas and he’s one of potentially two Willie Mullins representatives here as the Closutton maestro also has second reserve Arctic Warrior in the mix. That German-bred would be potentially interesting if getting a run, after finishing third over a mile and a half at Lignieres in France, for Waterford owner Walter Connors in June 2020. He’s closely related to a great servant for the Mullins yard, Arctic Fire. J P McManus owns Arctic Warrior, and he’s also got Follow The Crowd and Go All The Way, inexperienced sorts that are likely more of interest for future assignments. The likes of Breakeven, Eye Van, Il Courra, Kilbree Warrior and the newcomers need all to be taken into account, but the suggestion for top honours is LIMESTONE ROCK. Representing the connections of Grade Two Galmoy Hurdle winner from during the week, Sams Profile, the selection here has already shown plenty of talent in two starts to date, and there can only be more to come. Eoin McCarthy has his horses in form. His mares Ifeoinly and Steak And Onions are probably best watched here though. Old Town Garde won a British point-to-point at Wadebridge last month before joining Gordon Elliott.
