FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ENNISTYMON ran a race which screamed potential on debut at the Curragh in June and looks the pick of the Ballydoyle quartet and could prove the answer. From a smart family, she was held up in rear for much of her debut run and having met significant interference inside the final quarter mile, finished on the bridle in third gear in a hot maiden, from which the runner-up Love won Sunday's 1,000 Guineas. A caveat is that ENNISTYMON was found to be 'slightly lame' post race at the Curragh and was a non-runner at Newmarket last July due to a bruised foot. Stablemates Emerald Green and Elizabethofaragon met at Naas last year when the pair both shaped with promise. Emerald Green herself met a little interference before staying on but is now tried in first-time cheek-pieces while Elizabethofaragon looks a type who could progress well but nonetheless has a little to prove and doesn't look the yard's pick on jockey bookings. Prose ran well enough having missed the break at Dundalk last year and while clearly open to vast improvement, also has a little to prove thus far. Unknown Pleasure has already shown a smart level of ability, being rated 92 and while she has strong claims on her 2019 form, she was well enough held in a Group 3 last September and could bump into one or two too strong today. Brinjal met some trouble in-running when failing to justify strong favouritism at Dundalk in December and while she faces a tougher task today, does have experience on her side and could be the 'least rusty' coming here. Shamiyna is from a smart family and can go well on debut while Lugnaquilla is a half-sister to Derby runner-up Cliffs Of Moher but might possibly benefit from her debut. Marchetti's dam failed to win but was very well related. Astadash is a half-sister to many winners including Group 1 winner La Collina and is another which could go very well on debut.
