FormscanBy Alan Magee - MAKE A PROMISE could be worth a second look in what appears a tricky maiden. The Andy Oliver-trained filly made a very encouraging debut when just failing to score on debut at Naas in July. That was over six furlongs on good ground. She’s failed to progress since but a couple of those outings were on a soft surface, and the booking of Colin Keane plus the application of cheek-pieces may help to rekindle that initial spark. Allez Allez Allez has also shown promise on a number of occasions over this trip at Naas but has been given a break following a couple of disappointing efforts. Balmari would be a strong contender if reproducing some solid runs at Dundalk late last year but is another that needs to step up on recent form. Stalingrad went off favourite when runner-up on debut at Limerick, while Grey Streak and Midnight Fire are others to consider.
