FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - It’s something of a surprise to this observer to note, that Chacun Pour Soi didn’t hit a huge amount bigger than his starting price, in the in-running markets at Leopardstown last time. To a casual observer at least, the doubts were just there that Paul Townend mightn’t have been as happy at all stages, as he’d liked to have been. However all was well that ended well then, as Chacun Pour Soi dished out an eight length beating to Fakir D’oudairies. He was cruelly denied an opportunity at the eleventh hour, to strut his stuff here last year. Willie Mullins likes the been there done that build up with previous course winners going into any assignment, and there’s a chink of light there for any potential layer of Chacun Pour Soi (tries Cheltenham for the initial occasion) at a short price. Last year’s winner POLITOLOGUE (4th in 2018 and 2nd in 2019) might repeat the dose. Nube Negra is fascinating, and the only mare Put The Kettle On can do the fairer sex proud at her favourite track and trip. Despite the absence of Altior it has the makings of a thriller. Cilaos Emery and First Flow are much respected too.
