FormscanBy Mark Nunan - The Mildmay course at Aintree isn’t too dissimilar from Listowel and PLAN OF ATTACK showed great battling qualities when winning there last October. He followed that with a couple of fine efforts to reach the frame in top handicaps last term, and gets in here with a nice racing weight on just his sixth start over fences. Stable companion Spyglass Hill had some good form as a novice and may fare better on this second start in handicaps after his jumping let him down in the Galway Plate. Cabaret Queen had plenty of these rivals behind when third in the Plate and last year’s Munster National winner is respected off a 2lb higher mark. Cheltenham winner Ravenhill was pipped in this race last year but has a lot more on his plate at these weights, albeit with a good 7lbs claimer on board, and his stablemate Three Musketeers could have a better chance lower down the handicap. Mortal was back to form with a good win at Killarney but may be better suited by intermediate trips, while Doctor Duffy has found the winning thread over fences since fitted with a visor and is another to consider after landing a nice pot at Ballinrobe.
