FormscanBy Alan Magee - BLUEGRASS PRINCESS came back from a lengthy spell out with a leg injury to take a Naas winners’ bumper in fine style this spring and went on to take third in a Grade 3 event at the Punchestown Festival. That sort of form would put her in a different league to these rivals but unfortunately her jumping has been far from fluent since sent hurdling. If that can be ironed out then she looks the one to beat. Lockeen Girl is on a long losing run since winning a bumper at Kilbeggan in the summer of 2015. The Tom Mullins-trained mare has been fairly consistent over a variety of trips this year including when only caught close home while trying to make all over this trip at Wexford. A repeat of those tactics could be worth a go here. She had Pat’s Oscar about two lengths behind when third at Gowran Park last Saturday, and there may not be much between the pair again. Wait Here took a moderate Tramore maiden in good style last time and it remains to be seen how he will cope with this surface.
