FormscanBy Alan Magee - This looks the highlight of the week in the novice hurdling division with a quality line-up, and a number of form strands to mull over from the recent Festival meetings at Cheltenham, Aintree and Fairyhouse. FINIAN’S OSCAR brings a perfect record to the table with the impressive point-to-point winner having scored on all four starts over hurdles including twice at Grade 1 level. He missed Cheltenham due to a slight setback but that may prove a blessing in relation to his chance here, and he made an impressive return when upped to this trip at Aintree. Death Duty has always been held in the highest regard by Gordon Elliott so it was a bit disappointing that he was a spent force when exiting at the last in the Albert Bartlett. Bacardys lost any chance when badly hampered around halfway in the Neptune, while Willie Mullins has another strong contender in Let’s Dance. The Cheltenham Festival winner was just denied by stablemate Augusta Kate at Fairyhouse.
