FormscanBy Gary Carson - EX PATRIOT ran a cracker in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham and a repeat of that showing would make him very hard to beat here. The fact that he got loose before the start then wasn't ideal but it probably didn't harm him much and he had every chance going to the last in a competitive looking renewal before plugging on for fourth on the run-in. The better ground then was no doubt a help to him and on a similar surface now he looks the one to beat. Project Bluebook ran really well to finish fourth in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham and he would look a threat. It's interesting to see Ruby Walsh on French import Orion d'Aubrelle. Willie Mullins' charge won the second of two starts in his native land over hurdles. The fact that he's the number one choice over Triumph also-ran Dandy Mag would suggest he's well regarded. Dinaria Des Obeaux was another well beaten in the Triumph. She had been awarded the race when beaten by Ex Patriot previously over course and distance but the selection may be a different proposition on the better ground now.
