FormscanBy Tom Weekes - SNELLEN's rating of 92 almost seems too good to be true, having won the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot last June. She was green on debut and again drifted left when scoring at Ascot and while disappointing in the Debutante Stakes in August, ran a solid race at Group 3 level last October. That form is strong as the winner subsequently finished fourth at Group 1 level, the runner-up finished second in a recent Guineas Trial while both the third and fifth-placed fillies each won recent Group races. Air Commander is race-fit and battled well to win at Dundalk recently. He too should better his rating but might struggle to beat the selection. Race-fit Marty The Party should also compete from his initial handicap 85 rating and easy ground would suit, while Cardinal Zin is proven in handicaps. Spanish Flame beat recent Cork winner Bremen at Tipperary last July but disappointed subsequently and has been gelded.

Ger absolutely loves this horse and we were delighted to be able to come here on ground which is on the easy side of good. He is only learning, didn't handle Roscommon whatsoever and probably didn't handle here. He is still raw and green and he had to pull him around the bends but it is a great stepping stone for the Tyros (Stakes). He did it well. He had to grind it out,. He's a full-brother to a good horse that Godolphin owns (Live Your Dream). I trained the half-brother Dream Tale so I know the family a bit. He had a nice run at Roscommon and we knew that stepping up in trip should be in his favour. He's a good mover so he's not dependent on ground. Billy said it was a tough performance. He's a horse that likes to keep going forward so about the three pole he just let him roll to let him get into the race. He stayed every yard of it, it was a likeable performance. I was just saying to Billy that we might look at the Eyrefield Stakes at the end of the year, it's nine furlongs at Leopardstown. I thought he'd win so that was great,. Colin likes him and said he'll go another furlong. He's always shown us plenty and he had a good run at the Curragh the last day over six, which was a bit too short for him. We thought seven would suit him.
