FormscanBy Donal Murphy - The lightly raced SIKANDARABAD is the pick in this wide-open handicap. The son of Dr Fong returned from over a year off the track to win his maiden at Galway in July, before running a cracker to finish second in the Cambridgeshire on his most recent outing at the Curragh. He kept on well inside the final furlong on that occasion, but he couldn't match the winner Sea Wolf, and had to settle for the runner-up spot. He is tried in blinkers for the first time now, and he should run well with just nine stone four on his back. Reckless Endeavour is a consistent sort, and he was just denied in a valuable handicap at the Galway Festival on his last start. Colin Keane has opted to ride the bay gelding over Tony The Gent, and he should give a good account of himself. North Yorkshire trainer Kevin Ryan is represented by Big Time and last year's winner Kelinni. The latter was a decent sixth in a valuable handicap at York on his last start, and he is not without his chance here. Big Time, who was formerly trained by Joe Murphy, is an interesting contender. He was second in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh in 2013, and was creditable fifth in the 2,000 Guineas the following year. He dropped to a career low mark of 85 last year, but has progressed again through the ratings, and looks to have solid claims here. David Marnane is represented by Jamesie and Markhan, and both are likely to have plenty of supporters, while the Willie McCreery trained Colour Blue is another to consider.
