James Ryan wasn't able to claim in that apprentice race, but can claim 5lb in this contest which almost offsets the 6lb rise that Shining Aitch received for winning. Lauroline was placed in three maidens at this track in February before finishing in mid-division in a slightly higher-grade handicap last month. She has been dropped 1lb and just gets into this race, so has to rate a danger. Bright Dick got off the mark at the 18th time of asking last week and is likely to be involved at the business end. Bride Tree sprang a 22/1 surprise over 7f at this track in December, but has been off since and is probably best watched on her return to action.
