FormscanBy Tom Weekes - KENYA showed sufficient promise on debut at Naas recently to suggest he can comfortably win his maiden and should take all the beating here. A half-brother, by Galileo, to a Group 3 winning juvenile, he looks the type to win plenty races and while testing ground might not prove ideal, ran well on yielding at Naas and is sure to benefit from that nice introduction. Maze Runner has no ground fears having run well when second on heavy at Listowel last month. He missed the break and raced quite wide at Listowel and while he did run well, is surely vulnerable to any smart performers today. Newt To Town has some good good ground form during the summer but was well held, albeit at Group 3 level, at Naas recently and is also likely to prove vulnerable to smart performers. Stellar Eclipse showed some ability on debut, when his yard was out of form, at Gowran in July but does need to show more to win today and the fitting of a first-time visor is also a minor concern. Palace Guard ran well enough on debut at Gowran recently and while he should be ok with today’s similar surface, needs to improve to win.
