FormscanBy Gary Carson - Willie Mullins obviously has a very strong hand here and it's hard to look past STORMY IRELAND who is a very smart performer on her day. The free going filly made a serious impression on her Irish debut at Fairyhouse last December. She was let down by her jumping when pitched into the top level, falling when held in third in the Triumph and unseating when weakening in the Grade 1 at Punchestown. She got a confidence boosting win at Killarney after that, however, before a good run to finish third over in France. She is 5lb worse off now with stable-mate Good Thyne Tara from Killarney but even with the weight turnaround it's hard to see that rival reversing that seven-length defeat. Mullins has a third string to his bow in Ria d'etel who hasn't been seen since finishing second at Punchestown in April 2016.
