FormscanBy Gary Carson - KOLUMBUS may get his turn here after running up a sequence of runner-up efforts. He might have been expected to open his account before now and has been beaten favourite on his last couple of outings but the form is solid enough and he probably only has to run up to that to open his account over timber now. Jimmy Breakie was only denied by a neck last time at Naas but his victor Never Off Duty had been behind Kolumbus previously so he looks held on that form. Coeur Joyeux is probably the biggest threat. He chased home the smart Battleford when last seen over Christmas and off a mark of 125 sets a decent standard. Soul Kaliber was second in Clonmel last time but this looks a better race now while money for the Joseph O'Brien-trained newcomer Persistent would be interesting.
