FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ACAPELLA BOURGEOIS has been a little disappointing over fences thus far but might be able to win this contest. He fell on his chase debut and while in the circumstances he ran well on his second chase start (when beating Moonshine Lad), he was mildly disappointing when fourth at Leopardstown over Christmas. That was probably a stronger race than this and he should have every chance today. Arbre De Vie has himself been disappointing in his two chase starts thus far and while a jumping error cost him on chase debut last season, he was well held, albeit behind a good winner, on his latest start. While he was ridden from well off the pace latest, his effort in the home straight was disappointing but he is still a capable type at best and is likely to give the selection plenty to worry about. Burgas was a 130s rated hurdler and has done well over fences thus far. He cannot be dismissed having run well at Down Royal latest but might prove vulnerable to smart types.
