FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ACAPULCO, in-foal to Galileo, seemed as good as ever when making a winning seasonal and yard debut for Aidan O’Brien over five furlongs here recently and can continue her climb to the top of the sprinting ladder here. She has 4lbs to find on adjusted ratings with 114 rated Suedois but is certainly open to more progression, being a four year old filly. Suedois is himself a near top class sprinter who finished second in last year’s July Cup and is an obvious danger. He was beaten on his seasonal reappearance but while he has winning form on soft ground, looks better on a sound surface and should be able to give the selection a proper race. Last year’s winner Mobsta has beaten Suedois on both occasions they previously met (including at York recently when Suedois made his seasonal reappearance) but has shown a preference for soft ground and might struggle to beat the first named pair. Downforce has been thoroughly progressive recently and while he has a rating of 111, also seems much better on soft ground while Blue De Vega has been frustrating and is now tried over this 6f trip for the first time. Only Mine needs to improve to win while Gordon Lord Byron’s rating was put back to 110 following his run at Leopardstown latest but is not the force of old and might struggle to win.
