FormscanBy Tom Weekes - The trip might be a little on the sharp side for HE ROCK'S but he nonetheless appears progressive and likely to win further handicaps. He has been running consistently well and is again ridden by his 5lbs claimer. Davy From Milan is another which likes a test of stamina and while this trip is also a little short, has some prospects on best form. Boher Call was handicapped in hunter chases and appeared to do much better on handicap debut here recently. He should figure prominently. Snooze started favourite at Leopardstown latest but weakened in the closing stages while Rolling Rocket was another beaten favourite on his latest start at Thurles but has claims on best form.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five yrs old and upwards (123 = 11st 10lb)Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 11st 10lbPenalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each such steeplechase won. Any horse rated above 123 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 123 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any five year old rated above 123 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
