Bee A Beneficiary looked a winner in waiting when storming home to finish second to Wings Like Arion at Punchestown on January 30th. For backers of Wings Like Arion now, you'd have preferred to see Bee A Beneficiary do better than an eleven length runner-up placing behind Pat's Oscar since. On the positive side though, Wings Like Arion probably won more comfortably than a three parts of a length margin would imply. Mrs Harrington's Beneficial mare is on the up and up with the aid of cheek-pieces, and it's nice to see Paddy Kennedy get his turn on the six-year-old in this opportunity event. Grand Partner ran a corker to finish third in the Coral Handicap Hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival and Liam Gilligan helps here with his 4Ib claim. Huge hopes were held out for Marlbrook at one stage, and it'd be pleasing if he could show a bit of life back over flights. The likes of Admiral Brian and De Benno are others to keep in mind.
