FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ANIBALE FLY gives weight away here but otherwise has conditions in his favour. He left behind a poor showing at Kempton over Christmas (when unsuited by faster ground) when winning at Naas recently and comes here as a proven stayer who likes an ease. He gives away 3lbs all around but is nonetheless top adjusted rated runner. Dual Grade 2 hurdles winner Acapella Bourgeois has yet to reach those heights over fences and took four runs to win his beginners chase. However he is getting the hang of things and won nicely at Navan latest, with the step back up to three miles unlikely to cause problems. Edwulf, for whom Derek O’Connor is a notable booking, can be error-prone but comes here fit and well. He steps up in grade here but does stay well and likes testing ground. Jetstream Jack was well held when falling in the Thyestes latest but also stays well and can get involved for the placings. Ruby Walsh has sided with Haymount over stablemate Bellow Mome but both horses probably need to show more to win here.
