Pat Flynn’s charge was unlucky in running at Leopardstown last time. Emily Square hasn’t enjoyed the best of luck a few times this year and went close over a longer trip when just denied by Temasek Star at Leopardstown last month. John McConnell felt the soft ground was the main factor in Kandahari winning at Gowran Park on Wednesday. This slightly longer trip will be in her favour, and the 6lb penalty she carries is the same amount the handicapper has put her up in the ratings. In Our Blood made a promising return to action on soft ground at Gowran Park last month, while Carrigeen Prince and El Tren are two to note at the top end of the weights.
