Cool Thunder finished fifth on her first start this term, in the Irish 1,000 Guineas behind Jet Setting in May. Kevin Prendergast dropped the daughter of Shamardal in trip for her last outing at Fairyhouse, and she reverts further in distance now. She's a course and distance winner over the six furlongs at Naas though, and she was an impressive six and a half length winner then, of a maiden in October 2015. It could be that Cool Thunder came up against something we'll be hearing plenty more about, when going down to Dermot Weld's Raymonda, at Fairyhouse on her latest effort. She'll certainly put it up to Al Mohalhal (also a course and distance scorer) and company.
