If you'd had said to most followers of the game, that the daughter of Balko would fail to win in five subsequent starts, after her three-in-a-row at the end of 2014 into 2015, few would have believed you. CARRIGMOORNA ROCK would seem the one best placed to take advantage if Gitane Du Berlais becomes a beaten favourite for the sixth time in a row. Carrigmoorna Rock comes here in a good place after her Thurles victory, and she receives a nice chunk of weight from Gitane Du Berlais – no less than a stone. In fairness to Queens Wild it was at Grade 2 level that she lost out by half a length last time. She has it to do on these terms though.
