FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MULLINAVAT was a faller over hurdles last time at Cork in July but connections have found a very suitable opportunity on his return to chasing here. He has done well for Henry De Bromhead this year and has also done well over this 2m trip. He is no star and gives away a penalty but may prove too strong here. Penny Jane makes her chase debut and while she doesn’t receive a mares’ allowance, has shown a nice level of ability over hurdles. She has been well held by some smart mares this summer but this represents a drop in class and she has solid claims if taking well to fences. It is two and a half years since Golden Plan last won and has also been out of form and also isn’t helped by this sharp trip while Pahaska was a winner over hurdles last April but needs to show much than her most recent starts to count today, with today’s trip also on the sharp side.
