FormscanBy Tom Weekes - FORGE MEADOWS is a useful recruit to chasing and might be able to win on her second attempt over the bigger fences here. She was a smart hurdler, winning at Listed, Grade 3 and 2 levels in that sphere and she ran a respectable chase debut when third at Galway last month. She is very likely to improve from that seasonal reappearance run and while she might ideally prefer easier ground, might still be able to confirm form with Mrs Lovett, who was 8L behind in that Galway race. Mrs Lovett is herself useful but it is slightly worrying she has a date with the sales next month (Arqana December sale on December 11). She has shown useful form on her two chase runs and while she has shown form on a sound surface, might still find the selection too strong. Alighting showed bits of form over hurdles last season but needs to improve on her chase debut and reappearance run to win here while Kilbarry Calling ran well enough over hurdles at Clonmel latest but also needs to improve on chase debut to figure.
