FormscanBy Gary Carson - BELGRAVIA beat Clongowes in a maiden here earlier in the season and may be able to confirm that form now. The two have obviously improved since but this represents a drop in grade for Belgravia whereas Clongowes has been progressive in handicap company. The Ballydoyle horse ran a bit below par last time in the Group 2 Curragh Cup when well backed. He had run really well at Royal Ascot previously when fourth in the Queen's Vase and on that showing looks the one to beat. Things have clicked for Clongowes after a run of placed efforts in maidens and he looks a threat. Act Of Valour has been found wanting when tried in better company a couple of times but off a mark of 97 he has to have a big shout in this company. Percy was fifth behind Clongowes in the Ulster Derby but is obviously much better off now and he can't be discounted either in a tricky looking little contest.
