FormscanBy Gary Carson - VENITIEN DE MAI looks a real chaser in the making and a good test of stamina should suit him here. The front two both looked nice horses when he chased home Roi Des Francs here earlier in the month and he just didn't have the toe to live with the winner in the closing stages then. That rival looks very smart and it was no disgrace in finishing second. Ryansbrook is a decent sort on his day and ran a cracker to chase home Golantilla here back in November. The winner then looked short of his best bumper form, however, and that may read better than it was. Mick Spadoun comes into this off the back of two good efforts and finished third at Navan just last Saturday. If that hasn't left a mark he could be a presence again. Enumerator ran a decent race when fourth at Fairyhouse recently but this looks a tougher test while Vedettariat was a bit hit and miss in bumpers and would need to be on his A-game to score on his hurdling debut.
