FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MASTER APPEAL is just 5lbs higher than when winning at Tramore 18 days ago and has obvious claims of following up. This is his first attempt over three miles but he is progressive and looks open to some more improvement. Best Value has been mixing in between fences and hurdles recently and is another with solid claims having run well on both his most recent starts. Ocean Glandore is another with solid recent form to his name and is a proven stayer with good ground form. Soft ground probably beat Our Sox at Galway latest but he is likely to prove a much better horse back on his preferred fast ground here.

An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards (116 = 11st 10lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 11st 10lb
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 4lb extra for each hurdle race won. Any horse rated above 116 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 116 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four year old rated above 116 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
Riders - Confined to Professional under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim the allowance under Rule 52 (iii). Allowances (which are not cumulative, up to and including 31st August) who have not ridden the winners of 25 *races allowed 4lb Those who have not ridden the winners of 40 *races allowed 2lb No allowance to riders under Rule 52 (iii) may be claimed.
