Gills Pet got the job done for the County Tipperary trainer at the Dungarvan point-to-point on January 28th, and Great Trango could well maintain that forward momentum for the Fethard operator. His breeding might scream 'miler,' but the selection seems to be all about stamina, and the step-up to two and a half miles promises to suit well. Didero Vallis, Tourboy and Mount Hanover all come back to swim in calmer waters after contesting competitive handicaps last time. Didero Vallis' stable companion Hey Little Boy is hardly shouting out to be backed at this juncture, but at least Niall Kelly's 5Ib claim is a help.
