Successful on debut at Naas last year, the son of Zoffany has disappointingly failed to follow-up in nine starts since. He did however put in a much improved performance to finish sixth of thirty at the Curragh on Monday, on what was his first start for Richard O'Brien. Off a mark of 70, the bay gelding looks capable of making his presence felt here. Triple Sec has already won twice this season, and is tried in a visor for the first time now. A bold bid can be expected from her, while Betsey Trotter is another leading contender. She was successful at Navan in May, and has been placed on her two starts since. Gasta, who re-opposes now, and subsequent Galway winner Premier League were behind the Dermot Weld trained filly when she was second over the course last month. Iron Blue and Gottardo complete the line-up, and it'll come as no surprise if either of them manage to take this.
