FormscanBy Donal Murphy - LOS BARBADOS clearly appreciated the application of a first time tongue strap and blinkers when he ran out a decisive eleven length winner of his maiden at Wexford in August. The son of Galileo had run well to finish third on his first two starts but disappointed at Naas on his third outing when sent off the even money favourite. The tongue strap and blinkers remain on now and he should go close here in what looks an interesting contest. Ashraf was a convincing winner of his maiden over the course in March but he hasn't been seen since. Obviously he met with some trouble in the meantime as the Ballysax Stakes was mentioned as the intended target after his maiden win. Spin Point and Chenega Bay look well-treated by the conditions of this race and they are both leading contenders.
