FormscanBy Donal Murphy - VEDETTARIAT makes his debut over fences here and he should prove hard to beat. He won a point-to-point at Belharbour back in 2013 and while he failed to win a bumper he was much better over hurdles, winning twice from four starts. Triplets Joy is one of his main dangers. The Paul Nolan trained mare also won a point-to-point on her debut in January of 2014 and she finished third on her most recent start at Wexford. She has won over two mile six and three miles so the step up in trip here should prove ideal. Fort Smith is the other stand out name in the line-up. The Gordon Elliott trained gelding has proved very frustrating to follow however he went close on his last start at Fairyhouse, finishing third on what was his debut over fences. His sole success to date came at Ballinrobe last year and so a return to the Co Mayo venue may bring out the best in him. Flaming Dawn looks the best of the rest. He is tried in cheekpieces for the first time and they should help his cause.
