FormscanBy Michael Graham - COPPERHEAD left a lasting impression when sluicing up at Ascot in Ascot last month and this powerful stayer can go in again. He pulverised the opposition by 17 lengths in that Grade 2 which entitles him to plenty of respect. That was on heavy ground but he has also won on good to soft, so he isn't a stayer that needs it bottomless. He has proven to be a much better chaser than hurdler. Minella Indo was last year's Albert Bartlett hero at 50/1. He won't be anywhere near that price today after winning his beginners' chase at Navan in January. Captain Cj, who he beat into second, came out and landed a Grade 2 novice chase by six lengths at Navan last month to boost the form. Therefore, Minella Indo is a major player. Battleoverdoyen has questions to answer after being well beaten in a Grade 1 at the Dublin Racing Festival before falling at the last. He is a Grade 1 winner over fences, though. Easy Game could represent each-way value at double-figure odds after chasing home Faugheen, by half a length, in the aforementioned Grade 1 at Leopardstown. Allaho and Champ are two others well worthy of respect. The former was beaten by Easy Game in a beginners' chase at Leopardstown before cruising home at Fairyhouse in January. The latter looked destined to win in a Grade 2 at this track in January before tipping up two out. He had won his previous two races over fences and was a triple Grade 1 winner over hurdles. He is Britain's big hope for this race and ought to be right in the mix.
